Feminine Self-Defense

Last night dd#1 and I went to the El HaLev Benefit Concert in Jerusalem.

During the past few years, I've followed their ads. They offer all sorts of courses in "defense skills" for females of all ages. It's one of the places where women can learn Aikido, Jujitsu, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Capoeira, Krav Maga, Street Defense, Kick Boxing, Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Weapons training,Yoga, Feldenkrais and Physiotherapy Exercise from female instructors.
Many of the women involved are religious, so there aren't the usual "tzniyut," modesty problems.
The show featured a large variety of performances dancing, singing, acting, "fighting," showing a varied level of talent. I had to leave before it was over; though if it had started on time, I would have been able to stay to the end.
